This is where the bistro electric burr coffee grinder comes in and becomes part of the coffee making ritual. The Bistro is continuously adjustable - twisting the upper bean container determines how finely ground the beans will be. With over 14 settings from coarse to fine, you can deliver the ideal grind for any brewing method. But there's more to it than that. Most coffee grinders use plastic containers to receive the ground coffee but plastic and ground coffee don't go together well. The powder gets statically charged and spills all over the place. The new Bistro comes with a borosilicate glass container to catch the grounds. The glass catcher is inherently static-free, reducing the amount of overall static and "jumping" coffee grounds. This and the tight silicone/nylon lid make for an excellent, no-spill coffee grinder. The borosilicate glass container comes with a silicone band to make it slip-proof, an especially important feature when touched with wet hands. The Bistro is made from borosilicate glass, steel, plastic, rubber and silicone and comes in black, orange, red, green, and white.

This coffee grinder is amazing. Our previous grinder was a cheap one which did not really grind beans, more like mash them, but this grinder is several steps above our previous one. I could not believe how fine the espresso grinds would be; it almost reminds me of sand. The machine itself could not be easier to use, which is a plus. Also, it does not take up much space, which is a plus for us since counter space is at a premium in our kitchen. Overall, a great grinder.

I have had this product for about 4 months now and really enjoy it.
Pros:
Consistent grind every time.
Durable and cool looking product.
Cons:
Can't grind a full bin without overheating, you have to let the motor cool down.
Can be messy to clean (as like most grinders).

A nicely designed, convenient, strong burr grinder. The main limitation of the grinder is the small output jar and warning to let the motor cool after using for 20 seconds. Unless you want to spend a lot more money, this is a very fair compromise. 20 seconds is enough to prepare a small carafe of drip coffee. We keep some beans stashed in the large hopper, and grind beans in the morning. It's the best thing you can do to improve the morning cup of joe; more important that your choice of coffeemaker. (we usually use drip Melitta cones.)
